Zucchini in the garden

Zucchinis (from our garden) sliced, sprinkled with the freshly grated Parmesan cheese and baked in the pre-heated (180-190 degrees C) oven for about 15 minutes. Delicious.

We have so many thoughts and so few words that we must express many thoughts in every word.

But the simple life, alas, once you really try to lead it, leads you into all this complication!

I saw a frog in our garden today and even took a photo, but managed to delete the photo off my camera before coping it to the computer.  Lesson learned: sometimes multitasking results in achieving much less than when concentrating on one task.

I saw a duck today sitting on our garden fence.

First there was one duck
We get plenty of wood pigeons, great tits, blackbirds in our small garden and even occasionally spot a jay, but this was the first visit by a duck, who really should’ve stopped over at one of the park ponds not too far away.  Was it resting on the way to somewhere else?  It certainly didn’t seem to be very active.  However half-an-hour later I heard it chattering away and on glancing out saw that it was joined by another male Mallard duck.

Then there were two ducks
Their quacking and head nodding made me smile.  Sometimes happiness is as simple as spotting a common duck in an unexpected place.  At other times all the thoughts, feelings and dreams swirl into a sticky mess inside my head pushing the happiness further and further from my reach.  Thank you ducks for stopping by and making today more special.
